District 6 Open Space Task Force
City and County of San Francisco, Recreation and Park Department
Worked with legislative staff for Supervisor Jane Kim to convene and facilitate a community task force to identify and advance opportunities for new public park space in Board of Supervisors District 6, a densely populated and open space-deficient area of San Francisco. Task force activities included discussion about desired recreational facilities and priorities related to park location and design, and identification and evaluation of potential properties for new neighborhood parks. The task force’s work resulted in the City purchasing a property for a new park at 11th Street and Natoma Street in the western South of Market neighborhood.
